The Cuisinart wine bottle stopper works great for the bottles it works on, but there are some that have an irregular lip that is either too wide for the stopper to fit around or won’t allow a seal to be formed. It works as advertised on bottles with standard lips and overall we love it. The reason we got it in the first place was that it isn’t so tall that the wine bottle won’t fit standing up on our refrigerator shelf. Other fancy stoppers stand a good inch or two inches above the top of the bottle making it impossible to fit without raising the shelves above it. This is all considering that we use 750 mL bottles, smaller ones may not have this problem but they are usually more expensive per mililiter.Cuisinart Wine Bottle Stopper
I love Cuisinart. I have many of their cookware items. I figured that maybe they might have made a good wine stopper. Not so. I’ve tried this on many different wine bottles and even beer bottles. It doesn’t seal any of them. About all it’s good for is making a refrigerator magnet out of it. I suggest looking at stoppers that go inside the bottle that are tapered or adjustable with rubber. I’m disappointed in this product. Cuisinart can do better than this.
