This is our second one, as the other one stopped cooling after about a year and a half. However, the size is unusual and works really well in the space we have. We plan to clean the back filter area periodically (as someone in these reviews suggested) and hopefully we can get a little more life out of this one.
7 months from purchase date, my Emerson 8 bottle countertop wine fridge stopped working. No support from company. This is the FIRST online review I have ever written. (this is how ticked off I am). Steer clear of this item and company!!!!!
We received our wine cooler as a gift two years ago. Within a year we couldn’t get it to maintain its target temperature. This weekend we found the temperature to be 92 degrees, about 30 degrees warmer than our house!! Completely ruining the wine inside the cooler. When I called Emerson costumer service they informed me that the warranty is only good for one year and without a receipt they couldn’t do anything. The costumer service representative was not sympathetic or helpful in the least bit. I would not recommend this product to anyone.
I received one of these wine coolers last Christmas also. Within six months, the temperature keep rising. Once it would not cool under 60*, I unplugged it, put it back in the box and tried to return it to Target only to find out that Target does not stand behind the appliances that they sell.
Same experience as the rest of the reviewers here. The unit stopped working right after warranty runs out. Is this a coincidence or does Emerson do this on purpose to save money?
