Purchased four of these units and placed two beside each other both above and below a shelf – makes a 48 bottle storage cube. These racks are nicely built and look great. The spacers and screws are bright. I purchased the ebony units and black hardware would’ve looked nicer. Overall, I’m very pleased.
I was skeptical due the reviews here online, but i really wanted a retro red wine rack as all my kitchen appliances are red. I am so glad i took a chance i get so many compliments on it! Love this wine rack. Thinking of ordering another one to extend my wine collection. I didnt have a problem with rusty nails or any of the other complaints. I highly recommend this wine rack!
I have been debating the purchase of this wine rack for about a year. I recently ordered it and was not at all disappointed when I received it. I bought the “ebony” model, but it is actually a dark brown (my idea of ebony is more black, but anyway…). The wine rack seems to be made well and looks great on top of my refrigerator. Great gift idea!
love the line of the rack – it has a modern look but I think would go with most all decors – did not have any problem with the finish even though it was not quite PERFECT – it is quite nice
These wine racks are very cool looking. However, they are held together with screws that go through the spacer tubes, and many of the screws were loose. I ordered three of these racks, and all of them needed to have a bunch of screws tightened. Only one of the racks could be thoroughly tightened; the other two had screws that just spun in their tubes, either because they were stripped or because the holes in the wood were not deep enough for the screws to catch the threads in the tube. Also, the finish on the racks was pretty uneven and had lines rubbed in it from the corrugated cardboard of the box. Only one rack had lines that wouldn’t rub out, so I turned that side to the wall.
Anyway, I kept the racks, because they were sturdy enough, even without a few screws holding. But be aware, some of the screws stuck out on the bottom (holes in the wood were uneven depth, so some screws are recessed, and some not so much). So if you put the rack on a delicate surface, it may leave scratches.
In short, the racks aren’t the kind of quality you expect for that price, but they look interesting enough that I was willing to overlook that.
