I have purchased the Quest Product Connoisseur Corkscrew as a gift for a friend who enjoys drinking wine and he was extremely pleased. The set offers good quality products at a very reasonable price. My only disappointment was that the box it came in was damaged, so I discarded it and wrapped the case set myself in a wrapping paper. I still would recommend this as a gift.
I have to agree with one of the previous reviewers. I received this product as a gift at Christmas, and usd it for about 8 months, on an average of about 1-2 per week.
While the product was working, it was great. But when it stopped working due to a very difficult cork straining the lever, there was no product name, manufacturer name or number anywhere on the box.
I would recommend this product because of it’s ease of use, but based on price and length of use, I cannot recommend this manufacturer.
This corkscrew was great for a very short time. I bought it at the end of January, and through normal home use (i.e. a couple of bottles of wine opened a week) it stopped working. Nothing seems to have broken off, the screw goes into the cork, but the cork doesn’t come out. I’ve had wine openers like these before that after years a piece finally breaks, but this one is 5 months old and something isn’t right. On top of that, there is no manufacturer’s information available to ask for a replacement. If you can find another one to purchase, I’d stay away from this one.
Box has a few minor flaws not noticeable unless close inspection so far all tools have been of good quality. Over all good value.
