These are great. We have a bunch, gave a bunch to our kids and best friends. We can have a wine tasting party with nearly 40 glasses that all match and are all very high quality. Big, classic shape, and perfect for everyday or diner parties. Pizza and filet. Tough enough for the dishwasher and delicate enough to make special wine special.
We use these for all of our dinner parties and always get compliments. The bowl is huge and really makes for an impressive place setting. It displays the wine very nicely and we have been very happy with the purchase – so happy we now own a couple of dozen. Beware that they break easily and MUST be handwashed.
I had wanted to buy a Set of Riedel glasses for a long and finally did. I bought two sets of 4 glasses and am very pleased. They appear fragile, but so far I have not had any issues with breakage after using them about 6 times.
A friend at work told us we would notice a difference, by drinking our wine from these glasses. Did some research, then decided to buy a set. She was right, they did improve the experience. Also, one glass came with a small chip in it, and Amazon sent me a new set within 24 hours. Very nice service.
We’ve been great fans of this line of glassware ever since we visited the factory where they are made in Austria. The way the glass is made is perfect for sending the wine in the right spot in your mouth for full flavor appreciation. We prefer the Wine series over the other, and more expensive series, because of its square stem. You feel like you have a better hold on the glass while twirling the wine to develop the flavors.
