This highly promoted wine bottle opener is okay…but for the money, you better watch you fingers because it will stab you instead of the cork!
Bought this item on recommendation from a friend in Australia where they are evidently popular. Works as advertised: opens the cork with a little gentle “pop”. Haven’t had it long enough to verify the 50 bottle/charge claim. Directions say NOT TO USE ON PLASTIC CORKS and to use only ONE squirt of pressure. I tested that warning with three squirts on a recalcitrant plastic cork and was rewarded with a geyser of half the bottle all over the floor. Most plastic corks come out OK, just be sure to use only one squirt before giving up and using a corkscrew.
This product is very good if you can work it. They do not provide refill canisters and do not indicate where you can purchase them. So over all it is a waste of money.
